A Fictitious Scenario? You Decide!

Somewhere on the Interstate in Colleton County, SC...

It’s 4:30 in the morning and the fog is something else. "At least the rain’s finally stopped," you think to yourself. As you travel along, you’re thinking about the day ahead of you. It’s on to Jacksonville, drop the load and wait 4 and a half hours for the next one – the one you’ll pick up and bring back home. Then you can call it a week.

You glance in your side mirror and see tiny headlights. You can barely make them out. You notice them dart in behind you and then back into the left lane. "They must be doing 90. What’s the rush?," you think. Suddenly they whip right in front of you. You see the faded red tail lights explode into bright red glares.

You lay on the brakes. You grip the wheel. You feel the slide. You hear the squeal, the scrape and the crunch of glass bursting. Now you’re on your side, held only in place by your seat belt. The left side of your head tickles and you reach to scratch it, only to feel sticky, warm ooze. And then you smell it. Diesel fuel. Your heart pounds and everything goes dark.

In The Trucking Company’s Manager’s Bedroom...

The phone beside your bed rings. You look at the clock. 4:37 a.m. You rub your eyes and reach for the receiver. "Hello?" On the other end, the voice informs you that one of your trucks has been involved in an accident. The voice calmly explains that the weather was foggy and your driver’s been injured. Your truck is on its side, blocking two lanes of traffic across the interstate.

You thank the voice and the voice reminds you that they will be in touch. Before you hang up, you manage to ask the question: "Who’s the towing company?" "Tommie’s Auto & Diesel out of Walterboro," the voice says. "OK," you reply as you breathe a sigh of relief. "That’s who we’ve contracted with."

Immediately after you hang up the phone, you head for your laptop to check your email. Messages come in. You go through them looking for the subject "Incident Message From Tommies Auto & Diesel."

"Oh yeah! There it is." You open it up and there’s the link to view the incident photos. Now you’ll find out what happened through on-site Photo imaging via Tommie’s Auto & Diesel’s Website. You can count on Tommie’s – that’s for sure!

Meanwhile At The Scene...

The sirens.... the voices.... They sound so far away.

You manage to open your eyes. The smell’s still there. You move your head - ever so slightly - and you’re looking into the eyes of Nate Bristow. You’ve heard of him. He’s a WreckMaster 6/7 – one of the best of the best. Only 300 like him in the world and he's here to help you.

You’re pulled from the wreckage and placed on a stretcher. From the corner of your eye you see it – the SRS Truck. "Oh, and the Kenworth’s there too!" As you roll your eyes, you see more trucks with the Tommie’s emblem on the side. Tommie’s Auto & Diesel is here! Everything will be ok now!

The Cleanup

Traffic is managed efficiently and effectively. The truck is hooked to the wrecker and pulled back on its wheels. The produce that was being hauled is safely removed and secured. The truck will be taken to Tommie’s Auto & Diesel’s Repair Facility. There, it will be repaired by Tommie’s Top-Notch Technicians.

The diesel fuel? Well, it’s been taken care of in the haz-mat cleanup process – all done by Tommie’s.

Later That Day In The Trucking Company’s Manager’s Office

It’s the middle of the afternoon and you’re checking your email for the umpteenth time. You see that familiar subject line: "Incident Message From Tommies Auto & Diesel" and you can’t click the email open fast enough. More photos. You login to the Customer Center through Tommie’s Website and you click your way to the incident’s photos. "Wow!" you think to yourself. "Cleanup photos, wreckage photos and photos after it’s all said and done. Everything’s good again! I’ll just get these photos to the insurance carrier and we’ll be back to business as usual." Silently you pat yourself on the back. "Bet the boss is glad we’ve got Tommie’s on our side. That was a good move – contracting with them!"
